Trailer axles have been developed in China for decades. A few years ago, there were many large heavy-duty trucks such as 100 ton king and 10 ton king, which ran wildly relying on the characteristics of simple leaf spring suspension structure, easy maintenance and large bearing capacity, causing a lot of indignation.
After the release of the new national standard gb1589-2016, the total weight of six axle trailers is limited to 49 tons, 6 tons less than the previous standard, so many manufacturers begin to develop lightweight truck and trailer products. Therefore, the trailer axle has opened the development road of lightweight.
At present, the domestic trailer axles are roughly divided into the following categories:
1. American axle: it is the type of axle with the largest application in China. Generally, three axle rail cars, warehouse grid cars and other general trailers are basically used. The 13 ton axle is the axle tonnage that is widely used now. Its advantages are strong heavy load performance, simple structure and easy maintenance.
2. German axle: its design structure is more complex than American axle. The high-speed driving stability of the vehicle is better than American axle, but the price is slightly expensive. German special grease should be used for maintenance. Generally, industries with high requirements for freight vehicles will use German axles, such as tobacco transportation, instrument transportation, cold chain transportation and express delivery.
3. Disc axle: after the implementation of gb7258-2017, it is just needed in the market. This standard stipulates that three axle rail cars, dangerous goods transport vehicles and warehouse grid vehicles must be equipped with disc axle and air suspension after January 1, 2020. This is also for road traffic safety. Compared with drum axle, disc axle has great advantages in braking system. Disc brake is more sensitive, with linear braking force and large braking force. It adds a layer of guarantee to driving safety in combination with hydraulic retarder and ABS system.
4. Low flat axle: compared with the general trailer axle, the market of low flat axle is relatively small. It is mainly used to pull various special machines, such as cranes, hook machines, excavators and other special operation machines. It is characterized by low ground clearance, which is convenient for special vehicles to get on and off.
5. Concave axle: the application scope of concave axle is smaller, which is mainly used to transport cars, that is, sedan cars.
6. Three wire six axle axle axle: this axle is mainly used to transport large goods, such as motors, wind turbine blades, large heavy industrial equipment, etc. it belongs to heavy cargo vehicles.
The above is the general classification of trailer axles in China, covering almost 90% of trailer vehicles in the market. Now we are no longer blindly pursuing how many tons the axle can carry. The state is now vigorously regulating overloaded vehicles and pursuing road driving safety. We should also follow the national policy. When purchasing trailers, it is best to be equipped with disc axle and hydraulic retarder, so as to ensure our driving safety to the greatest extent.
